Fellowship Ministry
This team plans, schedules and implements special events which foster friendships within the congregation. Events include church picnics and potlucks, an Easter breakfast and Thanksgiving dinner. Contact Susan Van Tassel.
Youth Ministry
Activities geared toward fun, fellowship, learning and worship for youth 2nd grade through high school seniors is the focus of this group. It’s a lot of work to have this much fun. Adult volunteers help with meal preparation, driving to events, chaperoning, mentoring, youth show production, and Oktoberfest auction assistance. Contact Eve Kindley.
Lutheran Men in Mission (LMM)
This men’s fellowship group meets the third Saturday of each month in the private room at Denny’s Restaurant on Patton Ave. Meetings start at 7:30am and end at 9:00am. The group conducts a Bible study and fellowship as well as participating in additional service projects such as Habitat for Humanity. All men are welcome. Contact George Kroncke.
Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA)
This women’s fellowship group meets once a month on the second Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00. The focus is spiritual support, fellowship and service projects of local and global reach. Contact Susan Morgan.
Fishing Ministry
Outings are on Saturdays. They meet at St. Mark’s between 6:00-7:30a.m. and return around 3:30p.m. Fly and spin casting are practiced. Anglers may keep their catch up to a 4 or 7 fish limit, depending on the type of stream.
A brief devotional or Bible study is held with a a bring-your-own lunch. Stream selection may change in response to member input or changing conditions; some outings are spontaneously planned and all events and outings are announced by email.
