St. Mark’s Lutheran Church

The Council is excited about a new year. At
its regular meet ing in January, new officers
were elected. The results are as follows:
President , Susan Van Tassel;
Vice President ,Jill Hutson;
Secretary, Steve Doane; and
Treasurer, Fred Waldkoetter.
The Council also
held its annual ret reat in January. The ret reat
helps the Council come together as a group
and gives them extended t ime to plan for the
year and to update everyone on what is
happening in the church. We also assigned
team liaisons during the ret reat . These are as
follows:

The team liaisons keep in contact with the
various minist ry teams and update the
Council on what each team is working on and
planning. One item that the Council will be
examining is the concept of a team night
where all of our minist ry teams would meet at
the same t ime. We are also cont inuing to
evaluate our partnerships with the local
Moravian fellowship and with Messiah of the
Mountains’ internship program. I t is excit ing
to have so many great things going on at St .
Mark’s and to see many new members joining
us in our ministry.
